This hotel is located on one of the old canals in one of the quieter parts of town but is still in a prime location and only a 5 minute walk from the market square.
The rooms vary in size from small to very large and are kept in very good condition. Each room has its own characteristics, such as wooden beams or four poster beds. They all differ and are beautifully decorated with antiques. The bathrooms are also in very good condition and are decorated mostly in black and white. Much attention is made to detail and no detail is overlooked.
The breakfast room is located on the ground floor. The room itself resembles a Louis IV lounge with chandeliers and high ceilings and grand curtains on the windows. This room and a few others which resemble it, are where lunch and dinner is served. However, these meals are served on request only. There is also a very cosy bar with a real fireplace located at the back side of the hotel and in the summer, there is a lovely small terrace.
A traditional style building. The lobby is very small with a small reception desk. It is very welcoming and full of antiques.
Without doubt, this is one the best hotels in Benelux as it is very cosy and the owners pay much attention to detail. The bedrooms are extremely elegant and romantic. With its ideal location, this hotel comes highly recommended for those who do not like to be anonymous in a hotel but who like the personal touches.
